In the quiet time between Comikets, Shibano Kaito, probably best known as the artist for the Luminous Arc game trilogy, released a short 12-page doujinshi for Comitia 92. It actually feels even shorter because four of those "pages" are the front, back and inside covers.
Including the cover art, there are a total of eight illustrations in the kr+6 Illustrated Collection. The cover isn't repeated inside, but all of the illustrations have the fantasy style that's so prevalent in Shibano Kaito's game designs.
Though the staple-bound cover is glossy and smooth to the touch, the inside pages are a little rough, and lightly textured, but it doesn't affect the illustration too much. But it might account for the slightly faded look that some of the illustrations have.
I bought this with a kind of morbid curiosity, because at the time I had seen several of his short books on Yahoo! Japan go for quite a bit of money, and I couldn't help but wonder why. And though the art work is gorgeous, I'm sure the pricing has more to do with his success as the Luminous Arc character designer than the actual doujinshi ^^;
Yesterday, it was still on Toranoana, but today it's all sold-out so it's probably only available through Yahoo! Japan at the moment. I've photographed all but one of the illustrations in the book, so if you're sold on what you see, it's worth it.

Way too short! I hope there'll be more than 24 pages next time.

You know, after looking up some of his older kr+ books, it appears that 12 pages is the highest they go ~-~

"Yesterday, it was still on Toranoana, but today it's all sold-out" Argh and I ordered some doujins yesterday on Toranoana D: He should get a pixiv account or rss feed to give news of his news books (it's a problem for many artists) or I should check better Toranoana... It's sad there're so few pages since Kaito's art is really nice and he sure knows how to draw witches (I love Luminous Arc art and the picture 5372 of this book is my favourite).

Actually, it's more like I should try to review when I get them (like 3 months ago). It's just other stuff keeps coming out/seeming more relevant...

Love his art style, too bad 12 pages isn't worth the cost to ship
